About Us | Ro Mogendorff |
ABOUT US AND THIS WEBSITE This website presents an overview of the life and work of Ro Mogendorff, who was one of the greatest draftswomen of the Netherlands. Her drawings can be found in the collections of nearly every major Dutch museum.
This site was designed by Jean Paul van Dalsum, nicknamed Sjeng van Dalsum. Sjeng is the Dutch equivalent of Jean. Ro Mogendorff was his mother's twin sister.
Can you help us? A large part of the live of Ro Mogendorff happened before Sjeng was born (1943). Moreover, being a Jewess, she had to destroy personal documents for safety reasons during the German occupation in World War II. If you can provide us with information about her live and/or work you will be doing us a great favor.
Due to the death of Sjeng on November 8th, 2015, the copyright of this website and the works of Ro Mogendorff currently stays with the heirs of Sjeng van Dalsum. If you want to copy or use anything from this website, or if you have any other questions or comments, please contact us at contact@romogendorff.nl.
In the collection of the Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed, you can find more than 1000 of Ro's drawings online.
